IN THE NEWS
Greenlane (TSX:GRN) is a pioneer in the rapidly emerging renewable natural gas (RNG) industry. We work with waste producers, gas utilities, and project developers to turn low-value biogas into a valuable low-carbon and carbon-negative clean energy resource. As a leading global provider of biogas upgrading systems, we are helping to clean up two of the largest and most difficult-to-decarbonize sectors of the global energy system: the natural gas grid and the commercial transportation sector.
Greenlane’s CEO Brad Douville will be featured in a BTV video segment this weekend airing on BNN Bloomberg on Saturday, September 24th at 8:00 pm ET and Sunday, September 25th at 4:30 pm ET. For more details please click on the link below:

Greenlane is a pure play in the RNG space, offering multiple core biogas upgrading technologies, in use and proven in the industry today. Biogas upgrading sales are forecasted by industry to grow at a minimum 30% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years in North America and Europe. Our demonstrated leadership in biogas upgrading, scope and breadth of product offerings, and over 30 years of industry experience are fierce competitive advantages.
Today, we are a trusted partner globally and are ranked number one in installed capacity, having sold more than 135 biogas upgrading systems into 19 countries and counting. We’ve learned a lot along the way. First to market in 12 of the 19 countries where our systems have been sold, we’re also proud to have supplied the systems for many of the largest RNG production facilities in the world.

Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) announced that it will add an additional 200 new Ford F-250 service pickup trucks to join its existing fleet that will be converted to run on RNG. With the conversion of the additional 200 new RNG trucks this year, SoCalGas' fleet is expected to reduce an additional 2,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent (CO2e). Following the new truck additions, 44 percent of SoCalGas' service vehicles will run on clean fuels, which is equivalent to removing 1,800 passenger vehicles from California roads for one year.
In the EU, industry trade group Gas for Climate has published a 10-step implementation manual supporting the Union’s member states in planning and achieving national biomethane targets. The EU’s 35 bcm biomethane target for 2030 will be driven by individual contributions from all member states. To assist with the implementation of the REPowerEU Plan, the European Commission published a Biomethane Action Plan setting out measures to be taken at both national and European levels to scale up biomethane production and consumption. The Gas for Climate step-by-step manual will support member states in developing and implementing their national biomethane strategies.
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has selected The Yolo County Central Landfill (YCCL) for an award of $1.5 million to improve the current science and infrastructure to turn waste streams into clean, renewable fuel. The DOE grant to the YCCL, one of only 15 nationwide, focuses explicitly on community-scale resource and energy recovery from organic wastes. The YCCL will evaluate the Tri-reforming and Fischer Tropsch Synthesis Biogas to Renewable Fuel Technology process. The main objective of this project is to complete a pilot test and feasibility study of various technologies utilizing sources of biogas readily available and converting them to liquid transportation fuels.
Newport Beach-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. will formally open a new RNG station in Ohio next week to serve Amazon freight trucks and provide access to local fleets. Clean Energy Fuels said that its Groveport station is the first station of its kind in the country, built exclusively for Amazon and other heavy-duty truck fleets to fuel with RNG. Other similar stations are under construction around the country.
