IN THE NEWS
Greenlane (TSX:GRN) is a pioneer in the rapidly emerging renewable natural gas (RNG) industry. We work with waste producers, gas utilities, and project developers to turn low-value biogas into a valuable low-carbon and carbon-negative clean energy resource. As a leading global provider of biogas upgrading systems, we are helping to clean up two of the largest and most difficult-to-decarbonize sectors of the global energy system: the natural gas grid and the commercial transportation sector.
Greenlane is a pure play in the RNG space, offering multiple core biogas upgrading technologies, in use and proven in the industry today. Biogas upgrading sales are forecasted by industry to grow at a minimum 30% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years in North America and Europe. Our demonstrated leadership in biogas upgrading, scope and breadth of product offerings, and over 35 years of industry experience are fierce competitive advantages.
Today, we are a trusted partner globally and are ranked number one in installed capacity, having sold over 140 biogas upgrading systems into 19 countries and counting. We’ve learned a lot along the way. First to market in 12 of the 19 countries where our systems have been sold, we’re also proud to have supplied the systems for many of the largest RNG production facilities in the world.

TotalEnergies has acquired a 20% stake in Ductor, a Finland-based start-up that has developed an innovative technology to process high-nitrogen organic waste, such as poultry manure, which is usually difficult to use for biomethane production. TotalEnergies has also formed a partnership with Ductor to develop and invest in several biomethane production projects, primarily in the United States and Europe. Ductor already has a pipeline of 15 to 20 projects, some of which are at an advanced stage. The partners are planning to develop an initial facility in Ohio, with TotalEnergies planning to market the production of the biomethane, and Ductor the production of the sustainable biofertilisers.
Trilium Energy Solutions will supply North American trucking firm Werner Enterprises with RNG to fuel the 15-liter Cummins natural gas engine as part of field trials of the new Cummins X15N engine in North America. Trillium will fuel Werner’s Peterbilt Model 579 field trial truck powered by the Cummins X15N natural gas engine with RNG from its Omaha, Nebraska and Rockford, Illinois stations. Werner is one of the first fleets to test RNG in the Cummins X15N engine with a goal to lower fleet emissions, increase performance and reduce downtime. The X15N engine will enable fleets that operate in traditional over-the-road long-haul and heavy-haul applications to take full advantage of the operational and environmental benefits and cost savings offered by natural gas. When RNG is used to fuel those vehicles, it can provide substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions in addition to the significant clean air benefits provided by near-zero-emission natural gas engines.
