Our team was in Nashville, TN from September 10-12, showcasing our cutting-edge solutions for biogas upgrading, with a particular focus on our Cascade H2S product line. This event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with industry leaders and demonstrate our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the biogas sector.

President Biden Wages War on Food Waste Where Organics Recycling is a Key Focus Including Anaerobic Digestion Projects

The Joe Biden administration has launched a national strategy to combat food loss and waste, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote recycling. The strategy includes the launching of a national consumer education campaign and expanding organics recycling infrastructure, chiefly in underserved communities.

Nearly $200 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is allocated to recycling projects, with over $83 million directed toward organics recycling, composting and anaerobic digestion projects.

J.B. Hunt kicks off Clean Energy’s Class 8 Demo Truck Program Equipped with Cummins X15N Powered by Ultraclean RNG

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has announced that it is launching a program to allow heavy-duty fleets to operate a truck equipped with the new Cummins X15N engine. The first company to participate in the program is industry leader J.B. Hunt Transport Inc., one of the largest commercial fleet operators with extensive logistics and transportation services in North America.

Interesting to note that J.B. Hunt operates more than 180 RNG-powered vehicles today on behalf of customers. Alternative powered vehicles and the adoption of biogenic fuels are two essential components for the company to achieve its ambitious goal to reduce its carbon emissions intensity 32% by 2034 from a baseline year of 2019.

Major US Investor, Apollo Funds, Acquire Freedom CNG, a Leading Provider of Renewable Natural Gas Fueling Infrastructure

An interesting note for major investor interest in the RNG space. Apollo, a high-growth, global alternative asset manager, has acquired a majority interest in Freedom CNG (“Freedom”), an owner and operator of compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) fueling infrastructure in Texas.

According to Apollo, Transportation accounts for over 25% of U.S. energy consumption, and practical solutions are needed to migrate the sector towards sustainable energy. CNG, especially when supplied as RNG sourced from landfills and other sources, is an economic alternative available today that brings significant emissions reductions without compromising operational efficiency.

North American RNG surpasses 400 operational facilities

The Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition) announces a major milestone in the growth of the renewable natural gas industry, with 433 facilities now operational across North America. This achievement represents a significant leap from just a year ago, when the North American RNG industry celebrated the establishment of 300 facilities, marking a remarkable 44% growth within just one year.
